Supporting the Royal Artillery's Anniversary Rugby Tour

Berry Telecom is sponsoring the upcoming Royal Artillery’s rugby tour of New Zealand in Fiji. The tour is in celebration of the Gunners 300th anniversary and will also help to strengthen relationships with some of the UK’s greatest allies. The Gunners start their tour in New Zealand and will move on to Fiji.

The sponsorship of this initiative is particularly close to the heart of Berry co-founder Paul Hallam. Paul is ex Royal Artillery himself and so were both his Father and Grandfather. Paul said:

“It’s an absolute privilege to be able to support this initiative for a organisation that does so much for the UK. Berry would like to wish the Gunners lots of luck for the tour and to thank the troops for their hard work and the sacrifices they make for our country. Go the Gunners!!”

Berry Telecom’s connection with the forces continues through the organisation, with many of it’s staff either ex forces themselves or have family members in the forces. In particular, Berry’s technical team boast Craig Rawlings and Ian Stathers both ex Royal Artillery and Mathew Rew from the Royal Signals. So customers can be assured they are in very safe hands indeed.

The Royal Artillery celebrates their 300th Anniversary on 26th May and will circumnavigate the globe with the Captain General’s baton. An event called Ubique 300, Ubique (Latin for ‘here and everywhere’ and the motto given to the Gunners by King William IV) will include various initiatives around the globe in partnership with the Regiments greatest allies. The rugby tour kicked off on the 28th February where the Gunners won the first game 42-7 against the New Zealand Naval Base in Devonport, Auckland. Fantastic result lads.
